Awards: 2015 Master Builders - Bankwest Excellence in Construction Award, Winner – Best Industrial Building (Awarded to BGC Construction)
Komatsu’s new Parts Distribution Centre consists of a large 14,000m2 warehouse including approximately 3,000m2 of suspended office space. The engineered design of the facility sought to minimise the building’s carbon footprint through efficient steelwork design and reduction in concrete. Fibre-reinforced concrete was used for the flooring to save cost and construction time. Anthony led the Superintendents role of the Head Contract in which BGC Construction was the appointed head contractor. Engagement also included coordination of Komatsu’s full design team during construction.
