Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre West Mall Upgrade (2019)

Lendlease wanted to modernised the outdated West Mall entry into a contemporary facade with new interior lighting, new modern suspended ceiling, new gantry, new roofing, squaring of traditional looking cornices, new paving and planters. The project required a major refurbishment delivered within live shopping centre conditions with high pedestrian traffic, requiring daily reinstatement and cleaning as well as after-hours work and management of high-risk activities. 

The project was managed via a design and construct contract. And, managed to minimise disruption to retail tenants, ensure safe after-hours construction activities and achieve compulsory high quality retail finishes. The project was delivered with zero interruption to tenants’ trading which required quick daily responses mitigating potential risks and incidents to the public and retailers.
